If you are an international student,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0tha is:<\/span><\/p>\n

- Italian citizens, EU citizens, or citizens of countries with similar recognition to the EU who are already legally living in Italy with a final qualification from outside Italy;<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

- Non-EU citizen residing abroad applying for a visa;<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

- EU and non-EU citizen legally residing in Italy with an Italian final qualification<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>EU-equivalent and NON-EU regularly residing in Italy*<\/strong><\/div>
<\/span><\/p>\n

EU-equivalent citizens<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Citizens of Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, the Swiss Confederation, the Republic of San Marino and the Holy See.\nRefugees and persons with subsidiary protection also have the same status, as well as personnel serving in foreign diplomatic missions and international organisations based in Italy- accredited with the Italian State or the Italian State or the Holy See-and their dependent family members (spouses and children only).<\/span><\/p>\n

NON-EU citizens<\/strong> legally residing in Italy <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Non-EU citizens regularly residing in Italy are non-EU citizens in possession of a one of the following residence permits: <\/span><\/p>\n

- EU long-term residents;<\/span><\/p>\n

- for subordinate work, for self-employment;<\/span>
\n- for family reasons;<\/span>
\n- for political asylum and subsidiary protection;<\/span>
\n- for religious reasons;<\/span>
\n- for special cases (art. 18, 18 bis and 22 paragraph 12-quater of Legislative Decree n\u00b0 286 of 25 July 1998);<\/span>
\n- for calamities (Art. 20 bis of legislative decree n\u00b0 286 of 25 July 1998);<\/span>
\n- for acts of particular civil value (Art. 42 bis of legislative decree n\u00b0286 of 25 July 1998);<\/span>
\n- for special protection (Art. 32, \u00a7 3 of Legislative Decree n\u00b0 25 of 28 January 2008);<\/span><\/p>\n

- UK citizens with residence card (Art. 50 TEU; Art.18.4 EU-UK withdrawal agreement). While waiting for this document, UK nationals may present the certificate issued by the municipality of residence, which proves that they are registered as a civil servant by 31 December 2020;<\/span>
\n- for temporary protection (DPCM 28 March 2022<\/a>).<\/span><\/p>\n
