{"id":5201,"date":"2024-04-18T09:32:36","date_gmt":"2024-04-18T09:32:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www-2023.studenti.uniroma2.it\/?page_id=5201"},"modified":"2024-04-18T09:33:49","modified_gmt":"2024-04-18T09:33:49","slug":"requisiti-per-lottenimento-del-visto-per-studio","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www-2023.studenti.uniroma2.it\/en\/requisiti-per-lottenimento-del-visto-per-studio\/","title":{"rendered":"Requirements for obtaining a study visa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\">In order to obtain a STUDENT visa for university enrolment (type D 'national') and, subsequently, a residence permit, the international student must prove that he\/she meets the following requirements:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\">Economic means of subsistence for the planned stay. These means are quantified in the amount of EUR 467.65 per month for each month of the academic year, i.e. EUR 6,079.45 per year<span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"#_ftn1\" name=\"_ftnref1\">[1]<\/a><\/span> The availability in Italy of such means of subsistence must be proven by means of personal economic guarantees or those of parents or Italian or foreign entities or citizens legally residing in the territory of the State, or provided by Italian institutions and entities with established credit, including universities, local governments, foreign institutions and entities considered reliable by the Italian diplomatic representation<a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"#_ftn2\" name=\"_ftnref2\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">[2]<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\">The availability of the sum needed for repatriation, which can also be proved by showing the return ticket.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\">Suitable accommodation in the national territory.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\">Adequate insurance cover for medical treatment and hospital admissions (Art. 39, \u00a7 3 of T.U. no. 286\/1998 and Directive 01.03.2000 of the Ministry of the Interior), which the student must prove he has when applying for his residence permit.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\">The following formats are allowed:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\">consular declaration certifying the right to health assistance deriving from an agreement between Italy and the country of origin;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\">foreign insurance policy, the forms of which are valid in Italy and which shall not entail limitations or exceptions to the rates established for emergency hospitalisation for its entire duration;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\">insurance policy with national organisations or companies accompanied by a declaration from the insurer specifying that there are no limitations or exceptions to the rates for urgent hospitalisation for its entire duration<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 10pt;\"><a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"#_ftnref1\" name=\"_ftn1\">[1]<\/a> The reference amount is the one given in Rulings No. 197, entitled \"Renewal of pensions, welfare benefits and pension accompaniment benefits for the year 2022.\", issued by the National Institute of Social Security on 23 December 2021, in which the values of the 'social allowance' were announced<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 10pt;\"><a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"#_ftnref2\" name=\"_ftn2\">[2]<\/a> The mere application for an Italian Government scholarship does not constitute a financial cover document.
