In line with Law No. 33 dated April 12, 2022, and Ministerial Decrees No. 930 of July 29, 2022 (Provisions enabling simultaneous enrollment in two university programs) and Ministerial Decree No. 933 of August 2, 2022 (Provisions enabling simultaneous enrollment in two AFAM programs or in one AFAM program and one university program), as well as the resolution passed by the Academic Senate of Tor Vergata University of Rome on September 20, 2022, starting from the academic year 2022/2023, students will have the opportunity to enroll simultaneously in two study programs. This may be at the same university, two different universities, one of which may be foreign, or at Italian or foreign Higher Schools of Art and Music.
Simultaneous enrollment is possible for:
- Two bachelor's, master's, or one-cycle degree programs that belong to different degree classes and differ by at least two-thirds of the educational activities, referring to the scientific-disciplinary sectors of basic, characterizing, and related activities for bachelor's/master's degree programs, and referring to the scientific-disciplinary sectors for other courses.
- One bachelor's degree program and one master's degree program.
- One bachelor's, master's degree program, and a doctoral program.
- One bachelor's, master's degree program, and a master's program.
- One bachelor's, master's degree program, and a non-medical specialization course.
- Two postgraduate specializing master's programs, provided they are not the same program offered at two different universities.
- One doctoral program and one specialization course (for simultaneous enrollment in a doctoral program and a medical specialization course, please refer to the respective admission notices).
The possession of the required academic qualifications, as mandated by national regulations and university bylaws for enrollment in different levels of study programs, remains mandatory.
Simultaneous enrollment in two programs with mandatory attendance is not allowed unless the attendance requirement pertains only to laboratory and internship activities.
Simultaneous enrollment in two nationally numerus clausus programs will be governed by a specific ministerial decree, as mandated by Law No. 33 of April 12, 2022.
Single-subject courses are not compatible with enrollment in any university program.
Administrative Procedures
To regularize simultaneous enrollment, follow the procedures described below, depending on whether you are enrolling at two different universities or within the same university.
A) Students already enrolled in a program at another University and intending to enroll in a Program at Tor Vergata University of Rome
Students currently enrolled in a program at another university may enroll in a program at Tor Vergata University of Rome after obtaining eligibility or admission to the desired program, as specified in the participation notice for the study program. There are no discounts available for enrolling as a second program from another university. Students must also inform the other university of their concurrent enrollment.
For dual enrollment at different universities, the application must be submitted to both universities
B) Students already enrolled in a Program at Tor Vergata University of Rome and intending to enroll in another Program within the same University
Students currently enrolled in a program at Tor Vergata University of Rome may enroll in another program at the same university after obtaining eligibility or admission to the desired program, as specified in the participation notice for the study program. To complete the concurrent enrollment procedure correctly, students must send an email as described at the following link: https://studenti.uniroma2.it/procedura-di-iscrizione-per-uno-studente-attualmente-iscritto-in-un-corso-del-nostro-ateneo/.. After sending the email, students will be contacted with instructions for enrollment.
Students who enroll concurrently in two programs at our university will receive a 20% reduction in the comprehensive contribution due for the second program of study. This reduction applies only when the second program is a bachelor's, master's, or single-cycle program. This discount is cumulative with any applicable partial exemptions.
The criteria and procedures for recognizing educational activities carried out in one of the concurrently enrolled programs will be adequately publicized, in accordance with the University's Didactic Regulations and the didactic regulations of the study programs.
A student who enrolls concurrently in two study programs at our university identifies one of the two enrollments as the reference for accessing benefits provided by current legislation on the right to education throughout the period of concurrent enrollment in the two study programs. A student who is already enrolled in a study program in subsequent years cannot identify the second enrollment as the reference for the right to education benefits.
Total or partial exemption from the payment of the tuition fees applies to both enrollments, provided the requirements are met, as self-certified by the student in cases where the study programs are not part of the same university's educational offer.
