Withdrawing from your studies is a formal and irrevocable act by which you decide to end your university career. It is important to note that:
  • You can withdraw at any time of the year.
  • You are not required to pay any outstanding tuition fees, but you will not be able to request a refund of any fees already paid.
  • If you have taken exams in years when you were not in good standing with the university, these exams will be canceled automatically. However, before withdrawing, you have the opportunity to regularize your position in order to avoid losing the acquired CFUs.
  • You can still obtain certificates relating to your academic career, but they will be marked with the notation "withdrawn".

Important Notice for International Students: Clarification on Miur Regulations (Circ. Prot. 7802 of March 24, 2014): If an international student previously enrolled at an Italian university withdraws from their studies and then re-enrolls at the same or a different university, they cannot use the same study residence permit issued during their previous enrollment. Officially withdrawing from studies means that the student no longer meets the requirements to reside in Italy, and consequently, their residence permit will be revoked (cf. Article 5, paragraphs 3, 4, and 5 of Legislative Decree No. 286 of July 25, 1998, "Consolidated Law on Immigration and Provisions on the Status of Foreign Nationals," and subsequent amendments).
