The evaluation of the academic title can be conducted in two stages:

Knowledge verification

For most courses of study, knowledge is verified by means of assessment/selective tests or verification of curricular requirements, as stated in the relevant calls for applications/admission notices. The committees in charge, basing themselves on copied documentation (qualifications and certificates) will examine the candidate's knowledge and educational background.

Attention! A title of study, regardless of whether it passes the knowledge test, may not be suitable for enrolment: formal assessment of the title of study will be carried out both during the visa application procedure, for non-EU citizens resident abroad and at the time of enrolment..

Formal assessment

The formal evaluation, which involves assessing the suitability of the foreign title and verifying its authenticity and truthfulness, is carried out by the International Qualifications Office after the online enrolment and the submission in original of all the required documentation.

The assessment focuses on the denomination, nature, duration, level of the qualification, the institution that issued the qualification, previous schooling, academic rights, and its actual attainment.
